License Request Codes
Before
requesting licenses you have to choose which of your machines is
to be a License Server for the software you're going to install.
Usually
for Toonz and LineTest you can choose any of your machines with
Windows or IRIX OS.
For the plug-in products, you'd better choose the License Server
of the main application (e.g. for Scintillae, choose the Toonz License
Server machine as Scintillae License Server).
To
request your license(s) you need to generate the requests codes
that refer to the machine designated as License Server. To generate
these codes do the following.
On Windows platform
- Login
as administrator.
- Attach
the Sentinel dongle to the parallel port. If you did not reboot
your machine after the Toonz installation, you have to do it now
to start the Dongle Driver.
- Open
a DOS-shell, Type c_flexkey and press Enter.
- Answer
YES to the question: Do you want to configure this machine
as a license server? (y/n).
- Your
machine codes will be displayed in the shell.
On
IRIX platform
- Login
as Toonz User.
- Open
a shell.
- Type
c_flexkey and press Enter.
- Your
machine codes will be displayed in the shell.
If
the machine on which you installed Toonz doesnt have a network
card, you need a stand-alone license, i.e. a license that may be
used only on that machine. Contact Digital
Video Licensing Department for more information.
