Toonz Configurations

    • The I&P package has many more features enabled. All modules except xsheet, mattedit, ImageLibrary D-Kit and the Flash composer

    • A lighter and less expensive version of I&P. This version features the same capabilities of I&P, but without the Scan and Cleanup modules.

  • Vectorization on the fly of Toonz levels when exporting to Flash from Xsheet.
  • Option to export to Flash the Xsheet columns as separate
    layers.
  • Avi format output supported both from the Preview window
    and in the final rendering.
  • PNG format supported as input and output.
  • New FXs added: Calligraphic, ArtContour, Tile, Blend TZ and Blend RGB.
  • Calligraphic FX to control the line thickness of Toonz images.
  • ArtContour FX to apply a pattern to the line of Toonz images for achieving hair or fur-like effect.
  • Tile FX to tile an image and create a pattern that will always fill the camera shot.

Highlights of the new features in LineTest 3.0

  • New composer implemented with dramatic improvement of
    the rendering speed.
  • Smart preview behavior: if some editing is performed in the exposure sheet, only the frames affected by this editing will need to be recomputed.
  • Play/Pause buttons in the preview window update/freeze the rendering of the scene.
  • The video camera resolution can automatically fit the camera set for the scene, for an easier definition of the shot.
  • Blind Overwrite mode to replace previously grabbed images.
  • Configurations, such as preview and grab settings, and interface layout are stored and reused in the following sessions.
  • Soundtrack is saved along with QuickTime and Avi movie.
  • Framerate ranges from -50 to 50 fps, and is retained when a QuickTime or Avi movie is saved.
  • Print xsheet feature to directly print on paper the exposure sheet contents.

Toonz plug-in for Softimage|XSI

  • The plug-in reads the movements of the camera, objects and changes of the camera "field of view" in the 3D environment; then it computes the projections in the 2D Toonz environment.
  • The output of this plug-in is a .xsh file for the Xsheet module of Toonz. This file contains all the information to move 2D levels on the 3D objects and background as if they are attached to the animated 3D environment.
